Sir Richard Branson: empresario 'punk', ideólogo liberal y filántropo

 In 1977 Branson hired a private boat for the Sex Pistols could act in frontbefore the British Parliament singing their most famous song, God save the queen, in which the British monarchy was qualified as a "fascist regime".

He organised the release of their first LP, the bestselling Never Mind the Bollocks, to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Elizabeth II reign . 35 years later, and as explained to the Confidential, the queen has been called to participate in the parade this summer by the Thames for her "Diamond Jubilee".

Branson, who has visited Madrid to inaugurate a new center of the his gym company, Virgin Active. After revolutionizing the music industry with Virgin Records, Branson has tried hundreds of diferent fields: aviation, trains, video games, telecommunications, healthcare, cosmetics, finance ...

His latest challenge, space travels which he considers "more exciting". In ten months, Virgin Galactic will launch its first spacecraft to space travel, he will participate in that first flyed of the aircarft. The first flights will leave the company's spaceport in New Mexico, but the has announced he is planning to build a new base in Europe, "possibly in Spain, where conditions are excellent."
