Electric planes?

Little by little we are getting used to hear about all kinds of vehicles powered by electricity: From (perhaps the most popular currently) bicycles to trains, almost any type of transport to which we are used to can be electrified to a greater or lesser degree.

However, the planes are not an easy example of electrifying: Loading them with  heavy batteries would bring more disadvantages than advantages, current and power requirements forces the use of propulsion systems based on combustion.

Despite these difficulties, its starting to appear some models that try to take advantage of electricity, trying to be compatible with the requirements of air assets. In particular, the manufacturer PC-Aero has introduced several models of gliders that have additional propulsion of an electric motor.
